Written with AI. Checked like it matters.
Every FirstPassRN question is drafted with AI, then solved, picked apart and matched to a named source before a student sees it. Anything that fails is withheld. Here is exactly how that works.

Six steps between a draft and you.
The same review standard applies to questions, case studies and flashcards.
- Written to the test plan
Each question is drafted with AI for a client-needs area of the NCSBN NCLEX-RN test plan, in one of the Next Gen formats. The questions are original. None is copied from a real exam.
- Solved before the key is read
A reviewer works the question from the stem and the chart first, records the cues that decide it, and only then compares their answer with ours. A disagreement stops the question.
- Every option judged, not just the answer
Each choice is marked right, wrong, defensible or unresolved, with a reason tied to this patient. A second defensible answer is a defect, so is a distractor nobody would pick.
- Every clinical claim tied to a source
Doses, thresholds, priorities and protocol steps are matched to a named source, such as a current guideline or an open nursing textbook, with its link and the passage that supports it. A claim without support does not pass.
- Failing questions are withheld
A question that fails review is marked for repair and taken out of what students are served until it is fixed and checked again. Students never practise on a question we know is wrong.
- You can flag anything
Every question in the app has a flag. A flag goes to a person, and a flag that holds up sends the question back through review.
Honest about the method, strict about the result.
AI drafts fast. Review makes it safe.
Drafting with AI lets us cover every client-needs area and every Next Gen format. It also means a confident-sounding mistake is possible, which is why no draft goes straight to students. The review is designed to catch exactly that: the reviewer solves first, so a wrong key cannot lead them.
A source for every clinical claim
Nursing practice is specific. A dose, a lab threshold or the first action in a protocol has to match what a current source says, so each one is tied to the source that supports it. When sources disagree, the question is held until the disagreement is resolved.
Practice, not a guarantee
Good questions help you learn to think like a nurse. They cannot promise an exam result, and no honest prep course can. Check important details against your course materials and your program's guidance.

Common questions.
Are the questions written by AI?
Yes. They are drafted with AI and then audited: solved independently, every option judged, every clinical claim matched to a named source, and anything that fails withheld from students. We say this plainly because you deserve to know how your study material is made.
Are these real NCLEX questions?
No. Real NCLEX items are confidential and protected. Every FirstPassRN question is original, written to the same published test plan and in the same Next Gen formats, so the practice is like the exam without being taken from it.
What sources do you check against?
Current clinical guidelines from the bodies that publish them, open nursing textbooks, and the NCSBN's own test plan and clinical-judgment materials for what the exam covers. The sample cards on our homepage, for example, cite the Open RN Nursing Pharmacology text and the American Diabetes Association.
What if I find a mistake?
Flag it from the question. Flags are read by a person, and a confirmed problem sends the question back through review and out of rotation until it is fixed. Thank you: it makes the bank better for everyone.
